I’m Fine - Short Film | Director, Writer, Producer, Editor

We depict the story of a man who has it all on paper, the job, the friends, the house, but he is missing the most important thing, his happiness. Not that anyone around him can tell, because whenever he is asked how he is, the same two words always leave his mouth... 'I'm Fine'.

I’m Fine began as a lockdown project. Gifted with nothing but time during lockdown, I decided to use the time to write a short film script. This went through many iterations, with many different ideas all circulating around the theme of what it meant to be happy, something that was becoming ever more prevalent in the time when our normal day-to-day lives had been stripped from us.

Post-lockdown and with script in hand, I went about producing the film, with the help of Craig Ellinor and a very talented DP Twan Peeters - with restrictions in the U.K easing for a short period of time, we were able to assemble a crew, and shoot the film.

Now more than ever it’s important to be there for other people, take the time to talk with your friends and family, talk about your feelings. It’s ok to not be ok. And beware of the dreaded words which never mean what they’re intended to. I’m Fine.
